It begun its interventions with full concentration on human rights and anti-corruption media advocacy issues and later expanded its operations to cover issues related to Job creation, increase in income of the marginalized, Value Chain Development, Agricultural development issues and promoting Public Private Partnerships.
GLOMEF is aimed at supporting the Sustainable Development agenda through the capacity building, advocacy and resource mobilization for the marginalized especially women, youth and children. We are dedicated for the betterment of the underprivileged and marginalized sections of society. We have worked closely with communities, farmers, Value Chain actors especially agro processors whose success have a rippling effect on the entire Value Chain. We also offer services to Development Organizations who share same vision as ours more especially in the area of job creation and increase in incomes of smallholder Value Chain actors.
In the past three years, we have been concerned about Irregular migration of the youth and have held several campaigns and trainings for the youth in Brong Ahafo Region. Below is a flyer of a conference on Irregular migration organized my GLOMEF IN Sunyani in 2016.
We also serve as a vibrant voice for the voiceless, soliciting, linking and facilitating the needed resources for sustainable development. We encourage the participation of our well-wishers and supporters, who share the organization’s common vision of improving the future of Ghana and Africa.
We have so much experience in issues of Entrepreneurship. We have collaborated with some few institutions including Technical Institutes in Brong Ahafo Region to champion Entrepreneurship seminars for students. We have trained a number of community people in Business Skills enhancement together with the Non-Formal Education Unit of the District Assemblies. All these were with the aim of encouraging the youth to stay and work in Ghana and not travel through the Desert to Europe.
